The Hair Dos

Tonight, Mel and I took the boys to get their hair cut for the wedding.
Russell lead the way by going first to show his brothers what they needed to do. The other two were a little more apprehensive about getting their haircut, but they both did fine once they sat down in the chair.

This is after they took showers. After their haircuts, they looked really cute because their hair was spiked up in front.
Thanks for joining the fun Mel!

The Working Boys

Jon made us some new shelves in the back hall. Everyone has their own shelf for their shoes and a basket for their hats and mittens.
Owen helping Dad in the basement. Jon insulated, dry walled, and put up shelves in the closet downstairs under the booth.

Vaunder is getting pretty good with his hammer.

Rudy loves helping Dad (and Mom also) do work around the house.

The Girlie in Her Dress

It's so cute and just the right length!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We went to Jon's Mom's house for Thanksgiving. We brought salad, cranberries, and jello. I made homemade croutons for the salad which Vaunder referred to as "Mom's french fries".
Vaunae made the turkey which looked and tasted wonderful.

Addison's Purse

Last time when we were in Wisconsin visiting, Grandma gave this purse to Addison. My mom's sister, Judy, originally made it for my mom. Then it was mine, then Kristin's, and now its Addison's purse.

Addison loves to carry the purse around on her arm. She hasn't quite figured out how to open the clasp yet, so usually she brings it to us and says, "Help!" meaning help me open my purse.

Owen's Shirt

Here's Owen in his shirt and tie for the wedding. He was taking a nap when the other boys tried theirs on.

This picture (above) reminds me a little of his Uncle Luke.

Addison's Dress for the Wedding

Today after Grammie was done with work she stopped over with Addison's dress for the weddding. It is beautiful! We are just going to have it hemmed a little at the bottom (so Addie doesn't trip on it in the sand).

New Shirts for the Wedding

Here's Vaunder and Russell in their shirts for the Auntie Tracy's Wedding in December. The shirts came in the mail today while Owen was sleeping so I didn't have a chance to try his on yet. The shirts and ties fit really well!

Thanks Tracy!!!

Yes, we know their hair is getting quite long. We plan to get it cut before we leave for San Diego.

Yoga with Mel

Last night the boys were attempting to do some Yoga with Aunt Mel. When Mel looked over at Addison, she was surprised to see her trying to do some of the poses as well.

The Breadmaker

A couple of weeks ago, my mother-in-law, Vaunae, bought a breadmaker at a church rummage sale for $5.00. The next Monday when she came over to watch the kiddos, she brought it along and made some bread for supper. She said that we could keep it for a while. Since then we have made at least 10 loaves of bread. Usually, the bread is gone the same day that it is made. If anyone has any good recipes for the breakmaker, please let me know.
